Raging Reptiles receives 6–9 surrendered reptiles and amphibians every month from families who can no longer provide the care their pet needs. These animals come from many different situations—moves, changing schedules, unexpected costs, or simply realizing how complex reptile care can be.
We don’t shame people for needing help.
Our mission is to make sure every animal that comes through our doors is treated with respect, evaluated properly, and placed into the best possible future.
Surrendered animals often arrive needing supplies, time, and sometimes medical attention. If you’d like to support this mission, you can help by:
Every bit of support helps us continue giving these animals a second chance

Every surrendered animal goes through a structured intake process to keep them safe and set them up for success:
Step 1 — Intake & Ownership Transfer
All surrendered animals require a signed Surrender Agreement confirming the animal is being permanently surrendered to Raging Reptiles.
Step 2 — Health & Condition Evaluation
We assess overall condition, hydration, weight, behavior, feeding response, and enclosure needs. Some animals arrive healthy—others need rehabilitation.

We have been approved to rehabilitate and rehome surrendered animals into qualified homes.
But we do it differently than a typical “buy a pet” experience.
Our Rescue Rehome Program is designed to prevent repeat surrenders by making sure every adopter starts correctly—with the right equipment and real education.

This isn’t just an adoption—it’s a training program that protects the animal and sets you up for success.
Many surrendered reptiles were originally purchased without proper guidance, and improper setups can lead to stress, illness, and shortened lifespans.
Our Rescue Rehome Program exists to fix that.
We want every animal leaving our facility to go into a home that is prepared, educated, and committed to doing it right.
Rescue animals become available as they complete evaluation and care.

Please note: Not every surrendered animal will be eligible for rehoming immediately. Some require additional care time before placement.
If you are unable to continue caring for your reptile or amphibian, we may be able to help.
